Incorporating Media and Film into the Classroom

I would like to have students be able to do critical work in the blog format. Allowing the introduction of small segments of film to be included within the text as embedded html is a really powerful tool. It gets you thinking about how textual evidence can be introduced into a critical essay. Also, the notion of having students create podcasts or other content in order to provide a level of differentiation is very appealing. It allows students to better engage with their assignments because they are not forced into choosing one certain type of product.
